Traffic Restrictions on the Tarro Bridge

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS ON TARRO RAIL BRIDGE TO CONTINUE

Restrictions remain for at least four more weeks to carry out essential repair work.

There is one lane closed in each direction on the New England Hwy at the bridge and the speed limit is 60 km/h.

The bridge is closed to Class 1 and any vehicles over 69 tonnes. Heavy Vehicle operators should seek advice and take alternate routes where possible.

Specialist Engineers are working as quickly as possible. A four week time frame is suggested, but this may be affected by weather and unforeseen challenges.

Allow extra travel time, consider alternative routes, or take public transport whenever possible. Consider working from home to reduce the amount of road traffic and delays.

Transport for NSW will continue to monitor traffic. Motorists need to follow the direction of traffic control and signage. Daily updates will be provided to ABC Radio.
