Spencer Harding

Mr GREG PIPER (Lake Macquarie)—I would like to acknowledge the talents of one of Lake Macquarie's budding Futsal champions 10-year-old Spencer Harding from Cooranbong Public School. Nicknamed Fancy Feet by his teammates, young Spencer began playing futsal two years ago at Morisset PCYC, before joining in the more competitive Northern New South Wales Futsal League. For the past two years Spencer has been selected to play in the Central Coast School Team at the National Tournament in Queensland. During the gruelling competition teams play up to three games, and Spencer's outstanding performance this year didn't go unnoticed. His stand-out talent saw him selected to represent Australia in the Under 11s Australian Futsal Team that will tour China in the Jiangmen International Futsal Cup at the end of July 2024. The tour is a 10-day event where teams take on competitors from across China. Congratulations Spencer on this amazing and well-deserved achievement, and I wish you every success when you represent Australia next year.
