Ruby Flemming

Mr GREG PIPER (Lake Macquarie)—Christmas is a time of giving, and I would like to acknowledge the efforts of one young lady who is going above and beyond to make sure everybody in Lake Macquarie can have a joyous Christmas day. Year 7 student Ruby Flemming from Morisset High School has organised a food and toy drive to support Southlake's Incorporated Christmas Drive, which provides hundreds of Lake Macquarie families who are facing hardships with toys and food hampers to ensure that nobody misses out on being able to celebrate the festive season. Ruby's initiative is based on her based on her genuine desire to make a real difference to people who are doing it tough. Well done Ruby, it is a wonderful thing you are doing to help those who are most in need in our community.
