Biggest Morning Tea

20th June 2024
There's one thing none of us are immune to and that's the effects of cancer. Whether it's through a diagnosis we receive ourselves or the diagnosis of a friend or loved one, in fact by the age of 85 half of all Australians will be diagnosed with cancer. It is a truly devastating disease.

I was so pleased to be able to support the Cancer Council NSW, by hosting a Biggest Morning Tea event (in the afternoon) in the Speakers Garden at the Parliament of NSW.

I would like to thank all of my Parliamentary colleagues and staff for their generosity in helping to raise more than $2,000 at the event which will go towards funding cancer research and support programs.

It was wonderful to hear from Prof. Sarah Hosking, CEO of the Cancer Council along with Prof. Elgene Lim from the Garvan Institute of Medical Research.
