Sport and Recreation Centre Site Identified

It's been a long time coming everybody, and I know that there has been a lot of frustration and doubt about getting a new Lake Macquarie Sport and Recreation Centre built, after the closure of the Myuna Bay Sport and Rec Camp.

Well, I can now reveal that we have been working hard behind the scenes to secure the very best possible site for a new Sport and Recreation Centre.

It was fantastic to have Premier Chris Minns and Minister for the Hunter Yasmin Catley MP to come to Morisset Hospital today and have a look at where I believe the Centre should go.

There are still a few details to work out, but this site has so many advantages over previously proposed sites, it has great access to the lake for waterskiing and other water sports and would see a valuable part of the Morisset Hospital grounds preserved for public use.
