You might have heard the roar of around 100 motorbikes on the 8th of September, as supporters of Hearts and Hands Community Development took to the streets of Lake Macquarie for the Orange Ride for Child Protection Awareness.

Riders took to the street to share the message, "It's not OK to hurt a child, everyday it's not OK".

Bikes and riders alike were decked out in the signature orange colour of Hearts and Hands, with orange a bright and happy colour to represent what children should be.

The ride coincided with the end of National Child Protection Week.
