Morisset Sports Facility Site Secured

Today I was joined by the Minister for Sport Steve Kamper at the very spot where the new Morisset Sports Facility will be built.

This 7 hectare site sits at the northern end of the Morisset Hospital complex. It includes the sports oval and bowling club, with easy access to the lake for water sports. This location is truly second to none.

We’re now 5 years on from the sudden closure of Myuna Bay Sport and Rec Centre, and it's been a complex process to find the best site. I’m relieved and excited land has finally been secured by the Office of Sport so this important project can progress and soon be enjoyed by our community.
