Mandalong Road Upgrade - Consultation Report

The Mandalong Road upgrade has taken a step forward with today’s publication of a report following community consultation on the preferred design last year.
With 202 respondents, such strong community engagement shows how important this upgrade is to address longstanding safety and traffic issues and ready Morisset for future growth.
The upgrade proposes:
- a fully signalised intersection at the Wyee Road/Freemans Drive roundabout,
- a shared pathway between Ourimbah Street and Gimberts Road,
- two new bus stops on Dora Street.
Current design no longer includes the Gateway Boulevard/Gimberts Road roundabout, which is set to be upgraded as a condition of adjacent development.
Progress here has been frustratingly slow. Rapid growth in the region requires boots on the ground at Mandalong Road as soon as possible. I urge the NSW Government to act swiftly to confirm a construction timeline as a priority.
