Dust Bus visits NSW Parliament
20th February 2025
Early detection and treatment of dust-related diseases such as asbestosis, silicosis and mesothelioma can be the difference between life and death.
Today the new $2.5 million Lung Health Mobile Clinic came to Parliament of NSW, an initiative of iCare and NSW Minister for Industrial Relations Sophie Cotsis.
The "Dust Bus" will support the health of those who work in (or are retired from) the mining, tunnelling, construction and manufacturing industries where there is high exposure to dust.
The health checks include a chest x-ray, lung function test and consultation with a doctor.
The Dust Bus will visit Lake Macquarie between 31st March and 4th April. For more information on the Bus and booking an appointment click
