Today a dream decades in the making became a reality with the official opening of the redeveloped $52 million Hunter Sports Centre at Glendale.
This is the single biggest piece of infrastructure ever built by Lake Macquarie City Council, with funding from the federal, state and local governments.
This is a world-class facility, catering for a range of sports for every skill level from amateurs to professional athletes and future Olympians.
