Lake Macquarie Classic Boatshed

I popped into the Lake Macquarie Classic Boatshed at Rathmines this week, to catch up with its' crew and have a chat with Bill Coote.

Can I just say, wow! What a fantastic community organisation! I'm a big fan of woodwork and it was amazing to see so many members skills being put to use to bring heritage boats back to life (and in some cases build heritage-style boats from scratch).

The association's members are doing so much more though, than just boat work. They're having fun, forging friendships and looking after each others' physical and mental health.

Thanks for having me, it was a really enjoyable way to spend the morning.
