Parliament House goes to the dogs ... the Assistance Dogs

22nd March 2026
Parliament House went to the dogs this week… the Assistance Dogs! Great to welcome some incredible pups from Assistance Dogs Australia and learn about the life-changing work they do. After around two years of training — from puppy kindy through to advanced skills — these amazing dogs are matched with people living with disability, helping with everyday tasks and providing confidence, independence and connection.

It costs about $60,000 to train each dog, yet they’re provided free of charge to the people who need them most.

A huge thank you to the volunteers and trainers making it all possible.
