Stepping Up for Parkinson's disease
06th May 2026
Members of the Parliament of NSW have stepped up for Parkinson's disease and Parkinson's NSW ... quite literally!
Parkinson's disease is relentless and cruel. It is degenerative, incurable and currently effects around 70,000 people in NSW.
One in five people diagnosed with this disease are under 40 years of age.
For the past 47 years Parkinson's NSW has supported those living with the disease, through providing a specialist nurse network, virtual clinics, counselling, education and peer-support programs.
I was happy (and a little breathless) to contribute to their Step Up for Parkinson's fundraiser, which is being held all month long.
