A devastating blow to regional journalism with NBN News program reduced

Locals want local news!
Since the opening news broadcast with Murray Finlay in 1962 (pictured courtesy of NBN Archives) we have tuned in to our trusted local NBN daily news.
Like many of you, I’m incredibly disappointed to hear WIN Network has decided to cut NBN’s weekend bulletins and limit weekday local news to 30 minutes, from 5.30pm to 6pm, before cutting to the Sydney bulletin.
This is a devastating blow to regional journalism and is yet another Sydney-centric decision which insults the Central Coast and Hunter.
The WIN Network must reconsider its decision. It should reverse these cuts, protect local jobs and back the regional news services which give so much to our communitie
