Big News!! New Home for Cooranbong Public School.
Ahead of tomorrow's State Budget release, NSW Government has announced the delivery of $2.3 billion for new and upgraded schools in regional NSW. This targeted investment will ensure growing communities get access to a world class public education.
As part of the long-term planning for growth and infrastructure development in the Lake Macquarie area, early planning is underway to build a brand-new expanded school on a new site for Cooranbong Public School (CPS) with a co-located public early learning service.
ocated on Jeremiah Drive, Cooranbong, the new school will have modern purpose-built facilities for 750 students, ensuring its equipped to support the growing community.
The new site will open in early 2029, Cooranbong Public School will continue operating from its current site until then to ensure continuity of learning for students.
Our local community, particularly around Cooranbong, is seeing significant growth and this investment in education and modern school facilities will ensure our young ones have access to modern learning environments and facilities.
All enrolled students and permanent staff at Cooranbong Public School when the transition occurs will be supported with a placement at the new school
