No deals! Lake Macquarie comes first, every time

There’s been a lot of talk in the media about the possibility of a hung Parliament or minority Government after the March 23 election, and the role that I and my two Independent colleagues might play in forming the new Government.

As I’ve said repeatedly, Lake Macquarie comes first, every time.

For the record, I have not had discussions with the Premier or Opposition Leader or their agents about any arrangements and I don’t intend to speak to either of them before the election result is known.

My focus is where it’s always been, on Lake Macquarie.

Regardless of who wins the election, the new Government must start engaging with Lake Macquarie on health infrastructure, roads, our environment and access to public transport. It’s that simple.
