Unregistered trail bikers on notice

The number of complaints about illegal trail bikers in the area has become a significant problem.

The rules are pretty simple, as Lake Macquarie Police District point out in the list below.

If you want to a ride an unregistered trail bike without a licence, you must stick to private property or a commercial track or circuit.

If you can't play by the rules, or be licenced or insured on a public road or reserve, be prepared to pay the price.

Unlicensed Driver/Rider – fine starting from $572
Use Unregistered Vehicle - $686 
Use Uninsured Vehicle - $686
Use vehicle with Tax Unpaid - $686
