Wangi Wangi Public School will celebrate its centenary in November and is seeking help from former students to mark the occasion (see the school's post below).

And yes, that makes two local schools marking their centenaries soon - Fassifern Public School in October and Wangi Wangi Public School in November.

Here's some details from the school on how you might be able to help:

"To our local community,
Our plans for the Centenary Celebrations on 25 November are proceeding nicely. A committed team of 12 have been meeting since May this year to plan for our centenary and official school building opening ceremony, as well as a celebration which will run into the early evening.
A local historian, Doug Saxon, is writing a book for the celebrations and will be here at school next Monday 19th September from 10:00am.
If you went to Wangi Wangi PS in the 1940s or 1950s and would like to drop in and have a chat with Doug, he may be able to use some of your memories from school. Hopefully Doug will be able to chat with some others post 1950s a little later, time permitting.
We are also looking for official school class photos for our display from these years, if you have any would be happy to share them with us so we can scan them, that would appreciated.
