¿ It's been a busy week in Macquarie St but I thought you'd be interested in the Parliament unanimously passing the State Government's 'no body, no parole' laws.
¿ This new law basically follows the recent high-profile conviction of Chris Dawson who was found guilty of murdering his wife Lynette, but her remains have never been found.
¿ In a nutshell, people found guilty of murder but who refuse to co-operate with police in locating their victim's remains will not be eligible for parole and will have to serve their full sentence.
¿ Obviously, finding the remains of victims is of paramount importance to the families and friends of these victims, so I'm hopeful this new law at least gives police and the courts an extra tool to use in finding them.
