Very happy to report that public schools in my electorate will share in almost $13.5m in RAM funding next year, an increase of $1.5m.

RAM (or Resource Allocation Model) funding is a needs-based funding pool allocated to public schools each year. It's linked to things like enrolment numbers, socio-economic advantage/disadvantage and a complex series of loadings which I won't confuse you with, but the good news is that we've secured a pretty decent increase on last year and that will translate to more resources in our local schools.

I actually applaud the Government on this because RAM funding throughout the State next year will be a record $1.41 billion, while the total amount budgeted for public school education next year will hit $10.93 billion, also a record amount.
