A significant step has been taken as we approach the end of operational life for our thermal coal fired power stations with the Hunter Transmission Project (HTP) being approved.

EnergyCo are compiling a list of local suppliers interested in being part of the design and construction of the Hunter Transmission Project. The types of services identified include:

• labourers, security guards, cleaners, mining escorts

• plant operators, stringing crews, tower assembly crews, foundation crews, traffic control, geotechnical investigations

• engineers, planners, scientists, commercial, quality, legal, accounting, safety, community, surveyors, apprentices and trainee

"Lung Bus" visits Rathmines

Earlier this year I had the chance to take a tour through the new $2.5 million icare NSW "Lung Bus", at its ribbon cutting ceremony outside of the Parliament of NSW.

The mobile lung health clinic has begun its inaugural road trip around the state, and it was fantastic to see it at Rathmines Park this morning.

The Speers Point roundabout that connects Five Islands Road, TC Frith Avenue, and The Esplanade has long been a traffic nightmare for motorists.

Lithium-Ion Battery Fires

Last night there was another Lithium-Ion battery fire in Teralba. I was pleased to hear everyone was safe and the fire successfully managed by local crews. This follows the tragic February 2024 house fire which sadly claimed the lives of two women.

Speers Point Roundabout - consultation on design
