NAIDOC Week is an opportunity to learn about First Nations' cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

Bindi Flook, Aboriginal Community Development Officer at LMCC, emceed the event with a special Welcome to Country, performed by Allan, Archie and Ashlan Williams.

The Smoking Ceremony was conducted by Uncle Norm Archibald before the raising of the flags to acknowledge the coming together of communities with pride, resilience and hope for a stronger and more inclusive future.

My Staff attended the event in my absence and I extend my deepest appreciation to the organisers and participants for another fantastic NAIDOC event.
