We all know the frustration of crawling through 40km/hr roadworks zones when there are no crews working in sight.

From July 1 speed limits at roadwork sites will be removed when no workers are present, where it is safe to do so.

You will still need to abide by the displayed signage as some sites will still be speed controlled due to changed road conditions and posted speed limits are enforceable.
