New social housing properties in the pipeline for Morisset.
More than 40 people are a step closer to a safe and secure place to call home in Lake Macquarie, with construction of 15 new social homes now past the halfway mark in Morisset.
I recently joined Minister for the Hunter, Yasmin Catley MP, and representatives from Evolve Housing to see the progress.
Due for completion in mid-2027, the project is transforming previously vacant lots into nine two-bedroom and six three-bedroom high-quality townhouses in a well-connected location close to shops, schools,
parks and Morisset train station.
The $17 million dollar Morisset project is the latest example of governments and the community housing sector working together to create much needed housing in NSW.
Evolve Housing will also deliver an additional four Specialist Disability Accommodation homes on the site, providing self-contained units, with communal and support spaces designed to meet the needs of people living with disability.
